Toyota Mark X concept car

Toyota Mark X Toyota's latest model for the Japanese domestic market, the Mark X, has generated a notable buzz here on IS300.NET, and rampant speculation that it's the new Lexus IS. But is it really? In a word: NO! It's almost scary, however, how much it looks like an evolution of the current Lexus IS/Toyota Altezza. And, frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if the next Lexus IS winds up looking much like this Toyota Mark X.

Toyota Mark X The Mark X is a mid-size automobile from Toyota that is not a concept in Japan – but real life automobile. Introduced in 2004, the Mark X offers larger V6 engines with upwards of 250 horse power, its design and power are similar (though not identical) to the Avalon, which is available in the US and Canada. The Mark X is the successor to the Mark II, first introduced way back in 1968.

Toyota Mark X Now that we apperceive what it isn't, let's analyze the acceptation of the Mark X. It sits on the exact aforementioned 112.2" wheelbase as the accessible 3rd-generation Lexus GS, but is fractionally beneath (186.2" vs 189.8" for the GS), narrower (69.9" vs 71.7" for the GS) and taller (56.5" vs 56.1 " for the GS). My antecedent suspicions that the Mark X would alter the JDM Toyota Mark II arise to be correct, back the Mark II no be st appears on Toyota's Japanese website. The agent choices are the fresh 4GR-FSE 2.5-liter V6 and the 3GR-FSE 3-liter V6, aloof like in the JDM Toyota Crown Royal (and, best likely, the abutting Lexus IS). The Mark X is again best acceptable an another to the Toyota Crown Royal for one of Japan's 5 Toyota banker networks that doesn't advertise that model. It could additionally be apparent as bushing the attenuated gap amid the Lexus IS and GS, back it offers the accessible IS agent choices in a GS-sized car (note that the V8 is NOT accessible in the GS-sized Mark X).

Toyota Prius concpet car for 2010

Although it has been completely redesigned for the 2010 model year, the Toyota Prius is still distinctly Prius-shaped. Whether or not that's a good thing is a matter of personal taste, bUT, the 2010 Toyota Prius is still "more future-appliance than future-chic."al sources, as more road tests of the 2010 Toyota Prius become available.

this is some advantages and disadvantages for toyota prius:

Likes:

* Exceptional fuel economy
* Tall, airy cabin
* Hatchback utility
* Improved driving feel
* more upscale effort in general

Dislikes:

* Likely more expensive
* Still drives like a hybrid
* Console design means less knee room in front

The 2010 Prius still is recognizable as a Toyota hybrid, but there's more wedge in its stance, more crease in its profile, catchier cues in its arrow-inflected headlamps and taillamps, and more room under its reproportioned roofline. For sure, it's more dynamic-looking than the outgoing model and a hair longer overall, but it's still more future-appliance than future-chic. It does split the wind more finely; the aerodynamic drag's down to 0.25, one of the lowest figures for any
production car, with much of the improvement achieved under the car.

Other performance improvements have been directed at the Prius' less than entertaining road manners. The stiffer body shell helps reduce noise and vibration from the engine and continuously variable transmission. Engineers have tried, and are fairly successful, at improving the Prius' steering by angling its wheels slightly. The brakes are now discs at all four corners, and the regeneration that captures kinetic energy, turning it into electricity, has been improved. With more lightweight aluminum in the body too, the Prius' 0-60 mph times are now under 10 seconds. Still, you'll always be reminded of the fact that you're driving a hybrid vehicle with electronic control over the steering, braking, and acceleration feel.
